Finite Element Meshes
A finite element mesh is a discretization of the head anatomy into basic geometric shapes. it enables the finite element method to be solved.
Scaling our default model to the 50th percentile male model
-
In order to obtain a basic male head model, the head length, breadth and height were scaled based on dimensions obtained from literature [1].
-
Our default coarse and fine brain meshes were scaled using the resized head model.
-
Following are the dimensions used to scale the head model:
Length 19.7 cm Breadth 15.8 cm Height 23.1 cm
